Open online-voting rules for the Festival of Lights 4–5 November 2017

This year the mappers’ competition is taking place as a part of the Festival of Lights on November 4–5 on the Palace Square for the first time. Five mapping performances of «This city keeps me safe » contest program are projected onto the main facade of the Winter Palace. Teams from Italy, Russia, Poland, France and Spain illustrate one of the five popular songs about Saint Petersburg in theirs individual creative manner.
The audience gave an idea of the contest. One year ago after performances on the St. Isaac’s Square viewers spontaneously started voting on social media. Today this initiative becomes a tradition. Everyone can vote for one of the five performances of the multimedia show and choose the best declaration of love to our city.

  • Online-voting is provided on special web-page of the internet-newspaper «» ( through clicking on the Festival of Lights’ banner on every page of the web-site.

  • Online-voting is available for users on each type of devices without registration and publishing user’s contact information.

  • For voting user should click on one of the five voting bars with name of favorite mapping team and name of the song.

  • Online-voting starts at 7.15pm* on November 4th after beginning of «This city keeps me safe» contest program on the Winter Palace’s facade.

  • If you cannot vote during the show, you can vote the next day. The voting lasts till 10.40pm* November 5th.

  • During the voting results are updated in real time. Voting will be stopped at 10.40pm on November 5th. Everyone can check the voting result online. The winner gets the maximum rate of the voting.
